GIVE & GROW

KINDNESS

About 12 years ago I thought to myself, what if you needed a Kleenex and did not have one?  So I decided to put together packets for the homeless.  When we see a someone in need on side of the road, we pull up and ask if they would like one.  We put toothpaste, tooth brush, Emergen-C, Kleenex, Wet wipes, protein bar, bottle of water, cough drops, candy, chapstick, lotion, all in a gallon ziploc bag.  Any other items we should include?  Please share in contact us!

Charity Practice

As newlyweds, my husband and I would hear about something going on in a person's life and would feel led to help them.  We decided it would be best to budget for charity.  So as soon as our paychecks arrive, we first tithe our percentage to our church.  Next we put aside our percentage for charity, then we have the rest to save/spend/live.  We did this because when God led us to help someone, we would never have to wonder where the money was going to come from.   And the wild part is that more times than not, the amount we each feel led to give is almost always the same...love that confirmation.  GOD IS GOOD!

Bless with Your Gifts

Bless with Your Gifts

So...what gifts did God give you?  One gift He gave me is creativity.  I enjoy cooking and make a few dishes really well.  What I like to do is bless our son's teachers by making them a home cooked meal. Part of the gift is a casserole dish, lid and carrier that they keep.  I actually LOVE doing this!  I want his teachers to feel our appreciation and enjoy a home cooked meal.  It has been a nice, fun way to bless them with gifts God has given me.  Please share with us how you bless others with the gifts God gave you!

Reinventing Yourself

LOVED!!!  This guy!  He really made me think and I was hanging on every word that he had to say.  Truly profound words of wisdom!  If everyone implemented these rules, the world would have more peace and understanding.

Reinventing Yourself

This guy is super smart and skilled!  He breaks down the main ideas of books and shares them in such relatable ways, line itemed on a white board.  This is one of my favorites, it's about reinventing yourself.  Check out some of his other book break downs as well!

This is an amazing foundation that is like my homeless packets on steroids.   Their mission is to help lift the spirits of women in local shelters and to foster their inner beauty through gifts.   It was created to provide compassion and encourage the empowerment of women in need.  Take a peek!
